Beginning in June of 2006, the Northland became Minnesotas home for some of the best authentic Japanese Cuisine this side of the Pacific. Hailing from the city of Shunan in Yamaguchi Prefecture (on Honshu, the main island of Japan), Yasuko-San, proprietor of Zen House, brought with her traditional Japanese cooking just like her grandmother used to make. This isnt just American food with Japanese names…this is the real deal. Yasuko-Sans family back in Japan has owned a traditional Kimono Shop since 1923!
