Detailed Information
Established in 2001. Soul Food: Lima Beans, Red Rice, Pork Chop, Fried Chicken, Mac and Cheese, Meatloaf, etc etc etc Cafeteria Setting Meat and two with bread Workmens Cafe was the dream of my mother the late Ruby L. Bellinger. I moved home from Ohio to run the business for her and have been running it ever since. She was always an entrepreneur. She owned a bible bookstore while launching the cafe. She was also the founder and overseer of the Powerhouse of Prayer Pentecostal Church. Workmens was established, as she said, to feed the working man. The cafe, starting out as a 6 seater, evolved into a seating capacity of 36 and looking to expand in the near future.
