Since Pennsylvania imposed a mandatory shutdown of all business, WE ARE OPEN FOR TAKEOUT FOOD AND BEER DAILY FROM 11am to 8 pm Welcome to the Perky Cafe Good Times Since 1950! Meet the Owner: Q: Why and when did you decide to invest in The Perky? A: Why not? In December of 2011 i purchased The Perky from a long time owner and friend. Going to tired bars in the area with medocre food goT old quick. If you cant find it, make it. Q: Some aspects of The Perky have stayed the same, but what did you change? A: It is still a work in progess; there are so many things I still invision doing. Cara is our one holdover! We have added a second bar, put in a real Mens room which allows for two Womens with a facelift, all new Glycol tap system, switched to a smoke-free enviornment, and the outside recently got an entirely new face! Aside from that we have included the BBQ aspect which has been a huge hit. Who doesnt like a good home smoked meal? Q: Your smoking is out of this world! Where does the technique come from? A: From training and tasting all over. The technique comes from schooling in Pittsburgh, PA. The taste comes from a combination of Savanah, Georgia as well as Lancaster County. If we taste something and like it, we make it. If we dont like it, we find a way to make it better! Q: Describe the Perky to folks that have never been here before. The Perky is a local casual bar thats all about great food and fun times! We have the best food around, lots of games, and friendly bartenders!! We are now a non-smoking establishment so everyone is welcome. For those still trying to quit, smoking is still permitted on our porch.
