Jane DeDecker stops life in mid-sentence and gives it form. As a sculptor who has placed over 180 sculptures in 33 states Jane has long listened to the voices of women and recreated moments of motherhood, moments of wearing thin, of letting go, of selflessness, oftriumph. Janes passion for womens rights inspired the 4 year-long effort to pass bill HR473 to install a National Womens Suffrage Monument in Washington DC, the first outdoor monument of the women who championed our right to vote. HR473 became Public Law on December 17, 2020. Commemorating women has become more than Janes life work — it is her calling to raise their voices.
