The Deck

Established in 2013. We are very proud to say that our food is prepared from scratch every day to provide optimal taste and freshness. Our buns and many sauces are made in house. We have our own meat grinder and create burgers by grinding the best full cuts into aspecialty blend. Our chicken fingers are fresh cuts of breast that we slice and hand bread. We give a similar treatment to our onion rings. Weve added a lot more seafood for you this year! Whether its our scallops wrapped in bacon or lobster tacos, youve got to try it. In fact we have made it a point to NOT carry pre-made frozen foods. We proudly support local breweries and distilleries like Newburyport Brewing CO. and Riverwalk both native to Newburyport. We carry Ipswich Ale and Privateer Rum both made in Ipswich. Weve added Bantam Cider, which uses only MA apples crafted in Somerville. Backlash in Holyoke brews beer in sessions making them limited and were currently carrying their 22 oz. Belgian IPA – Declaration. We are a brand new business built on the location of breakfast diner Fishtale, which was established 60 years earlier. Weve honored the diner by keeping the old barstools (though weve cleaned them up with fresh paint and cushions) as well as the old built in menu, and the deck itself for which weve named the establishment. We wanted to build a place to really eat and drink on the water without having to own/rent a boat. The physical outdoor deck extends right to the edge of the river creating an atmosphere of being on the water with beautiful views and without the motion sickness. Weve made it our mission to bring beautiful views, fresh taste with food prepared from scratch daily, all on American made equipment.
