Tates School is an independent, private day school that has been serving the Knoxville area since 1968. Tates School is rooted in offering an accelerated, 21st-century curriculum that instills academic excellence in our students. We guide our students to reach their optimum potential intellectually, physically, and socially. Each student is challenged to think critically and creatively in a structured environment where excellence is rewarded and individual effort is encouraged. Utilizing our extensive, 54 acre campus as an extension of our classrooms, our curriculum includes personal experience, hands-on activities, and collaborative learning.
