Established in 2011. Proudly Serving Stumptown Coffee Roasters and Steven Smith Tea; we specialize in artisan coffee and gourmet drinks. Symposium Coffee was birthed from a need noticed in the Sherwood Community after the closing of a beloved Coffee Shop in Old Town. Kevin and Amanda Bates, with Jacob Pflug, built symposium as a place for people to come, meet, and connect with one another. In February 2011, Kevin, Amanda, and Jacob signed the lease and started the renovation of a 1911 Bungalow style home and worked on the house non-stop… still doing it actually… On March 31, 2011, Symposium Coffee House opened its doors. It has been a continual adventure ever since.
