Sweet Leaf started as-and still is-a family business, founded by Andre, Arita, and Sherry Matini. Sherrys original cafe, Sweet Stuff, was established in 1991. Andre and Arita realized their community needed more than just another deli or diner, and wanted to expand on their moms original idea. With a lot of passion and even more love, we launched our first location in 2008. Since opening our original location in McLean, Sweet Leaf has added more cafes in neighborhoods across Northern Virginia. As the business has grown, our family has expanded. David Roach has become more than just a Regional Manager–he is a brother to Andre and Arita and a son to Sherry. Our brilliant and enthusiastic team of chefs, bakers and professionals continue driving the dream forward every day. Sweet Leaf partners with some of the best growers, ranchers and food artisans in the region to safeguard our goal of providing the freshest food around while supporting our values.
