The Minnesota State Fair Foundation is a nonprofit organization that aims to entertain their participants while they experience agricultural education, arts. and culture. The first state fair was held in 1859 and while agriculture is still the primary focus, the scope of activities has broadened to include large-scale entertainment, technological and industrial exhibits, and participation of scores of education and government institutions.
