Spirits Tavern

When I was a little girl I spent a lot of time with my Grandpa Jim and one of his all-time favorite places was a neighborhood tavern. I saw firsthand how the regular customers felt a sense of community and visitors always felt welcome. I always dreamed of one day having my very own bar where friends, family and new faces would gather and have fun. Fortunately I married a fabulous and supportive man (David) who helped me make my dream a reality. Spirits Tavern opened its doors on Halloween 2014. The name Spirits is a play on words both for my deep affection of the supernatural as well as adult beverages. We recognized a niche that was not being filled in Dahlonega. High quality and gourmet burgers along with a full service craft cocktail bar. Never compromising our focus, we developed our menu to feature high quality, fresh products. Mine and Davids professional background consists almost primarily of the private country club business. Therefore, guest experience is of the highest priority. Also, since we both have a quirky and unconventional sense of humor, we try to lend a nod to that in several ways throughout Spirits Tavern. Our menu items all have unique names and we are frequently complimented on our fun sidewalk sign humor. The sign for our bathrooms are even a subtle reference to the books I read as a child, Choose your own adventure. I like to think Grandpa Jim would think my tavern was as fun and comfortable as the one he used to visit. I also hope you have an overly enjoyable experience each time you visit Spirits Tavern!
