Sol Azteca is one of Bostons first Mexican restaurants that was founded in 1974 by Rafael Osornio. His goal was to create a menu that combined the best dishes and original recipes from different regions of his country including Puebla, Veracruz, and Mexico City. Now, 40 years later, Rafaels vision lives on through his restaurants traditional south of the border cuisine. When youre seated for a meal at Sol Azteca, you will be served chips and salsa while you peruse our menu and select a beverage from our drink menu. Apart from our 9 refreshing margaritas, we also have a house sangria, Mexican beer, and a choice of wines from around the world. Our regulars rave about the carne asada which we serve with an enchilada of your choice, chorizo, and guacamole. If youre in the mood for something truly authentic, select one of our dishes that features rich mole sauce like the enchiladas poblanas or mole poblano. Also try our chiles rellenos stuffed with cheese covered in a tomato, mushroom, almond, raisin, and white wine sauce or stuffed with beef in a verde sauce. We also serve several gluten-free dishes.
