Sliders Ice Curling is Americas first competitive bar-style Ice Curling facility. Since 2019 we have been serving up a high speed, competitive, and fun curling experience. Our experience does not include the sweeping element. Instead our coaches will be ready to both facilitate and score the event from the other end of the rink. Our experience is extremely interactive and scalable for anywhere from 2-16 partipants per session. Our expert staff aims to provide the ultimate axe-throwing experience for walk-ins, private parties, team-building events, and leagues. Ice Curling is one of the worlds oldest team sports, curling originated in the 16th century in Scotland, where games were played during winter on frozen ponds and lochs. The earliest-known curling stones came from the Scottish regions of Stirling and Perth and date from 1511. In the 1600s, stones with handles were introduced. Lumberjaxes founders, Corey Deasy, Matt Peyton, and Jack Welsh created the idea for a bar-style ice curling experience as an addon to Lumberjaxes Axe Throwing, and soon realized that ice curling would be a welcome addition to the Pittsburgh region. Sliders Ice Curling opened their first location inside of the first Lumberjaxes Axe Throwing location near Pittsburgh, PA in Millvale Borough right by the renowned Grist House Craft Brewery, and Mr. Smalls Music Venue.
