Established in 2008. Shiners Saloon provides a comfortable environment with genuine Texas character and small town service in the heart of downtown Austin, TX. The kitchen serves amazing food every day until 2am offering a variety of appetizers, toasted sandwiches, salads and just plain delicious country cookin. And every night you can find local musicians playing their hearts out. Some of the reasons why were a local favorite are because we have all Shiner beers on draft, 7 TVs for the sport enthusiast, and drink specials every day! In addition, we offer the Shiner hospitality. With most of the owners raised in Shiner, TX, we bring the hometown attitude and friendliness to downtown Austin. Shiners Saloon is the perfect venue to host your special event. Whether you are looking for a place to host your birthday party of your business happy hour, Shiners Saloon is here to cater to your every need and make your special event memorable. We are able to accommodate any sized party up to our 250 capacity. This bar was founded and built by childhood friends who were born and raised in Shiner, Texas. Everything, from the bar to the kitchen to the furniture, was built by the owners of Shiners Saloon. Using recycled Heart Pine from an 1800s farm house, the wood that covers the bar and pillars is breathtaking. The custom built (by the owners) whiskey barrel bar stools are extremely comfortable and stylish. And the wagon wheel tables tie the whole place together. As soon as you step though the saloon doors in front, you can tell this bar has heart and soul. The owners wanted to bring a little bit of rural Texas to Downtown Austin and create a comfortable neighborhood bar that is welcoming to everyone. The kitchen, which is open til 2am daily, even has ties to Shiner. All of the meat served in the kitchen (turkey, ham, and sausage) comes from Shiner, TX. And keeping with the owners roots, the kitchen definitely has a Czech/German influence, with fresh baked food daily.
