In 1948, Faye Arkie Sawyer opened Arkies Grill in East Austin a classic diner serving hearty breakfast fare and blue-plate specials. An Austin institution for over 60 years, Arkies motto was Where good food, friends and fair prices meet. When we opened our doors as Sawyer & Co. in 2014, we wanted to pay tribute to Arkies legacy of community while honoring our southern roots.
