Sams Bar-B-Que was started in 1957 by Sam Campbell, a born-and-raised Austinite. In 1976, after Sams death, Dan Mays Sr. took over the business while staying true to Sams desire to create quality home-style Bar-B-Que. Today, Dans son Brian Mays (pictured on the left) continues the family tradition. Sams Bar-B-Que specializes in all types of meat; from traditional brisket, ribs, mutton, and chicken to side-dish options of baked beans and potato salad, Sams Bar-B-Que joint offers home-cooked style meals for all appetites. We accept both cash and credit cards. Catering is available upon request.
