Reese's Dairy Bar

Thank you to all of our dedicated customers and those of you that discovered Reeses Dairy Bar for the first time in 2020 for helping make our first year running Reeses an amazing and thoroughly enjoyable experience. Reeses Dairy Bar at 1422 Clark Street Road, Aurelius, is very excited to begin their 49th season serving the Auburn area. Our 2021 opening day will be Sunday, April 4th. We will be open from 4:00 – 8:30 for dessert. Our kitchen will open for the season on Monday April 5. On April 5 until further notice, we will be open 7 days a week from 11:30 am until 8:30 pm. Our kitchen will close daily at 8:00 pm. Due to COVID-19, until further notice our dining room will remain closed as we start this season. Season #1 began in spring 1973, after Bill Reese traded a four-bedroom Charles Street house for the dairy bar located at the intersection of Routes 5 & 20 West and Half Acre Road. As the years have progressed, there have been gradual but continuous changes and improvements to Reeses Dairy Bar. The business had remained family-run season after season [William Reese 1973-1976; Douglas Reese 1977-1981; William Reese 1982-2001; Thomas Reese Watkins 2002-2019] until now. Penny and Jamison Mills completed the purchase of Reeses in November 2019. Lifelong residents of Central New York, they are very excited to take over starting with season 48. There is much that makes Reeses Dairy Bar unique in Cayuga County, first and foremost being the HOMEMADE products. Reeses Hard Ice Creams, Hard & Soft Sherbets, Sorbets/Italian Ices, Ice Cream Cakes, Ice Cream Cupcakes, French Custard, Cremesicle Twist, Soft Black Raspberry, Very Berry Twist, Ice Cream Sandwiches, Chipwiches, Cremewiches, and Berrywiches are all made right at the 1422 Clark Street Road location, from family recipes that have been handed down, tinkered with, and perfected over the years.
