Established in 1968, Porta Bella is known for its pasta, homemade Italian dinners, pizzas, steaks and seafood. Recipes that came from Madisons historic Italian Greenbush district are still offered today in addition to new dishes found during our travels to Italy.Cozy, upholstered booths are placed in small rooms to create a casual romantic atmosphere. Our three distinctive dining rooms have hosted many first dates, engagements and anniversaries. Porta Bella enjoys being voted Madisons, Most Romantic Restaurant for 15 years. Looking for a casual place for drinks or dinner? Travel down the front steps to visit our Wine Cellar. Once inside, you can choose from 40 wines, Portas signature martinis and 14 draft beers. Many of the Italian wines were selected by our owner during his recent visit with Italian wine makers. Enjoy your favorite drink along with our full dinner menu. During the warmer months, we also have outdoor seating in our beautiful patio.
