Peebles Bar-B-Que was started in 1947 by Elle and Gladys Peebles. Mr. Peebles drove a school bus and started his small business on the side. The small side job turned into a major landmark in no time. He was soon joined by his two sons to help run the restaurant that had grown incredibly. Later after Mr. Peebles had left the business to his two sons, Dale Strickland married Mr. Peebles youngest daughter Marsha Peebles. Soon after they were married, Mr. Strickland joined the two brothers in the Bar-B-Que business. Mr. and Mrs. Strickland are the current owners and operators today.
