We provide a community forum for member businesses to communicate among, along with a promotional website to market the district as a whole . For example, our showcase pages help visitors find what they need and more info on where the locals dine and drink. Lastly,our site offers a full calendar of events for everything going on in our neck of the woods. North Kansas City is growing as both a hub for craft brewing and for artists and craftsmen needing workshop space. So we formed to be the welcome wagon and the connective links to important City resources. Most importantly, we believe our connections to local government, Business Council, and other ways of plugging into the community help businesses become better neighbors! Our town has ridden a decade-long wave of new interest alongside our next door neighbors in Kansas City. So several business owners banded together to pitch a business league to promote local shops along the historic commercial corridor. The non-profit RiverNorth organization defines the boundaries of our district, where it is in relation to other corners of North Kansas City, and the small business status we designate. Moreover, it pools member business resources to pay for a combined website and marketing on social media to reach visitors in the region who are looking for day trips and evenings out within a short drive from much of the metro.
