Out The Door

Established in 2019. Experience San Franciscos popular modern-Vietnamese restaurant without having to cross the Bay! For the first time ever, TheSlanted Door is in the East Bay at San Ramons City Center Bishop Ranch, featuring a blend of your favorite dishes plus new ones only available at our San Ramon location! Charles Phan and family opened The Slanted Door, a 49-seat restaurant, at its first location in the Mission district. With his innovative approach, The Slanted Door was one of the first Vietnamese restaurants that stood out from other Vietnamese restaurants by having modern design, open kitchen, small food menu, riesling driven wine list categorized by flavor and body, and high quality teas served by the pot. The restaurant was nationally recognized within a few months of the opening. The space became too small, and The Slanted Door eventually found a new home at the Ferry Building in 2004. With many requests to open The Slanted Door in different cities, we always look for the right moment to expand. Charles was drawn to the City Center Bishop Ranch due to the vision of the project and Renzo Pianos design with a welcoming open space for community.Read more
