Orbis Caffe

Orbis Caffe is first and foremost a Coffee House dedicated to serving excellent espresso and coffee drinks. No matter the brewing method we endeavour to provide the best that the coffee has to offer celebrating the idiosyncrasies each provide. We recognize that this industry is built on the labour of many people from planting and harvesting and processing to selection, blending, roasting and brewing. As the last step in that process we will do our best to do it well. There are times when it is a pot of tea that is needed to hit the spot. Our range of black, green or herbal loose leaf teas are brewed to order. Add to this spiced and vanilla chai, great hot chocolate, fruit smoothies, Italian and French Sodas, Iced Tea and Coffee and there should be a beverage for any taste, time or season. We have focused a lot of time on expanding the range of food options to complement our drinks menu. OMG chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon twists, croissants and vegan blueberry muffins are still staples in the pastry case. We continue to be delighted by our association with the Italian Ladies from La Paste Dolci and stock a range of their Italian cookies and cakes. Quiche has become a popular breakfast, lunch or anytime savory option. The fillings vary daily but the flaky cheese crust does not! Fritatta, breakfast wraps, sandwiches or panini, chili and soups are also made fresh in the Caffe. In keeping with our Orbis name, we choose a different country theme each month that guides our Sunday Brunch specials and culminates with a dinner party on the last Saturday of the month. The Orb is our satellite location inside Pittsburgh Filmmakers in Oakland. We offer much of the same food and drink there as well as specialty sandwiches, salads and veggie wraps. It is open to the public and good spot to have a break and get on the WiFi if you are in the neighborhood.
