Established in 1943. Pizza Matthews Pizza was established in 1943 by Matthew Cacciolo. He came to America from Italy with his familys recipes for making pizza dough and pizza sauce. In 1943, he (and his sister Rose) served only 3 types of pizza pies. Because Matthews makes its pizza dough and sauce on the premises, every day, using only the highest quality ingredients, its reputation for outstanding pizza started to grow. Matthews Pizza has earned 43 Best Pizza awards. In November 2010, USA Today named Matthews Pizza as one of the best pizza parlors in the USA and it is ZAGAT rated.
