Marilyns Bakery is offering 1986 pricing during our 28th Anniversary Celebration. $5.00 Apple Crumb and French Silk Pies (regularly $9.99) and $1.00 White Bread will be offered to customers April 1 & 2 to show our appreciation for 28 years of support. (limit one each per customer per day) 28 years ago, Marilyn Johnson Tracy, opened a small bakery inside her brothers produce market (Johnsons Farm Produce). She lured customers to her counter with the smells of fresh bread and hot pies coming out of the oven. Each year the business has grown: remodel jobs, new equipment, expanded product line, advanced training, the next generation, and much more. But the core values of sustainable farm culture and dedication to top quality, real foods have continued. Marilyn has since retired and turned the business to her daughter and son-in-law. Barbara continues to work with sourcing local foods and providing high quality ingredients. Robert focuses on making the perfect pie crust and selling pies at Chicagoland farmers markets. You may see him driving around with his Pie Guy van. This celebration salutes the hard-working team of Marilyns Bakery and their dedication to the core values and thanks the faithful customer base that has supported the business.
