Detailed Information

Lucy & Leos Cupcakery is proud to announce the opening of its third location! Originating in Midtown Tallahassee, Lucy & Leos has been open since 2009. We have seen immense growth from one year to the next, says Lucy & Leos co-owner Paula Lucas. That growth and the confidence we have in our product helped us take the leap and expand last year, and again this fall. Lucy & Leos opened up its second location in Thomasville, GA in the summer of 2012. The brand-new third Lucy & Leos Cupcakery is located in the Catalyst Building in the College Town area of Tallahassee. This mixed commercial-residential building is only a stones throw away from the University football stadium, College Town bars and restaurants, and the new and improved Gaines Street area. This expansion came to us in a hurry, says co-owner Jean Bates. We werent looking to expand further right away, but the opportunity came up to explore our options near the Florida State University campus, and we couldnt pass it up! The new store has a student-friendly feel to it- high ceilings, bright colors, and lots of cupcakes. We wanted this store to look familiar to Lucy & Leos fans, while adding a little something new to mix it up, says Bates. I think we achieved that with this store. It is inviting and friendly, with a really fun vibe- plus, you cant beat our porch area. When the weather is nice, theres no better place than at a patio table with a cupcake. In addition to later hours, the new Lucy & Leos location will feature lots of fun events, including their Prohibition-themed grand opening party on November 7th. This is the fun part of the job- besides the cupcakes, of course! jokes co-owner Paula Lucas. Open to the public and featuring tipsy cupcakes (liquor inspired cupcakes like jack-and-coke and margarita), the Prohibition Party is a nod to all things indulgent. We loved the idea of throwing a party thats full of good music, good dessert, and good fun- slightly sin
