Established in 2012. Authentic Italian Cuisine made from fresh ingredients! We have nightly specials in addition to our menu which both include specialties from various regions of Italy. Our bread is made fresh daily along with many of our pastas, gnocchi, pizzas,and desserts. We offer a selection of Italian, local, and organic wines. We also serve Italian and microbrewery beers on draft as well as a variety by bottle. Now open for Lunch and Sunday Brunch! Chef Giovanni Spanu has been cooking in restaurants for over 20 years in Italy, London, and California. He is from Bellagio, Italy on Lake Como (Lago di Como) and attended culinary school and gained most of his experience in Italy. Authentic Italian food is Giovannis specialty and he has his own style -which is influenced by, but not limited to tastes of Northern Italy. Working in areas by Lake Como and also Sardegna on the Mediterranean Sea have given Giovanni much experience in working with fresh seafood! He insists on freshness and preserving the flavor of the seafood in the dishes he prepares. Pizza is another one of Giovannis specialties! He worked with numerous restaurants and pizzerias to assist in improving their pizza quality and get their recipes just right. After working in restaurants for so many years, Giovanni decided to open a restaurant of his own with the help of his wife, Mary Ellen. Living in Santa Cruz made it the perfect location to start!
