Kellner International was established in 1978 by Robert Spohn, and came under new ownership in June 2014 by James & Rachel Greve. KI was a bar over near 90th St and County Trunk WW in the Town of Grant. In 1980, KI moved to its current location in the Town of Grand Rapids (Unincorporated Wisconsin Rapids, WI). The building was previously Naomis Bar since 1962. In the 1970s, KI hosted volleyball teams, men and womens horseshoe leagues, darts, and numerous pool leagues. In 1991, Robert decided it was time to change with the times, and build KI into a Bar & Grill. He and his business partner built a kitchen, and two dining rooms. Kellner International quickly became popular for its Friday Fish Fry, and even won an award in 2001 from the Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune for the best Fish Fry in Wisconsin Rapids. It was an honor to be recognized for the same award in 2017 as voted by the public as the #1 Fish Fry in Wisconsin Rapids Area by the Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune. Since taking ownership in 2014, KI now hosts numerous Craft Beers, Wines, and Specialty Drinks. We look forward to the opportunity to serve you.
