Marios Pizza & Italian Restaurant is family owned and operated by the Fisichellos who relocated to North Carolina from New York in 1984. John and Martha currently reside in Matthews and raised three children in Union County. All three of their children grew up inthe restaurant business working alongside several of our staff members who have been with the Marios family for as long as 20 years. John Fisichello bought Marios Pizza shortly after graduating from Binghamton University in 1980. In 1984, he and his wife, Martha, decided to move to a warmer climate. They sold the pizzeria to his sister, Connie, and her husband Craig, who still own and operate Marios in Binghamton. John and Martha settled in Charlotte and opened the first Marios Pizza in Charlotte in 1986. Marios located in Plantation Market in 1997 and moved into the current location in the shopping center in 2003. Marios offers a family friendly environment for casual dining, including a patio for nice weather. We offer a large selection of pizza, pasta dishes, Italian dinners, submarines and homemade desserts. Marios uses only the freshest, highest quality ingredients in all our dishes. All dinners are prepared fresh and made to order. Our pizza dough is mixed, rolled, and proofed on premises to create a delicate, crispy crust. Our pizza is then hand tossed by experienced pizza makers just the way you like it.
