Established in 1953. Global Fusion Foods The original HRD opened in 1953. In the years prior, the Social Security Administration was housed across the street from our location, using the space as their Human Resources Department. Once the vacant space became available for lease, it became a Coffee Shop, serving traditional American breakfasts, sandwiches, ice creams, and fountain drinks. The proprietor, a newly arrived migrant from China, chose the acronym of Human Resources Department, HRD, as his newly created business name, and thus, HRD Coffee Shop was born. In 2009, Chef David Yeung, an innovative California Culinary Academy graduate, took over the helm. Inspired by San Franciscos multi-cultural ethnicities, Chef Yeungs vision was to bring a new and unique dining experience to our beloved city, resulting in the creation of the HRD Global Fusion. Today, backed by Saidyan Group, a VC and Investment Firm, HRD, our patented trademark, has become a benchmark for highest quality food and unapparelled customer service.
