Established in 2014. Foundation Social Eatery is a rustic new American restaurant in Roswell, Georgia, blending a post-industrial vibe with a pre-industrial approach to food–seasonal, local, and handcrafted. FSE is a concept from Chef Mel Toledo, who brings nearly15 years of experience in some of the best kitchens in Atlanta, California and France. The innovative rustic new American menu features French- and Italian-influenced meals, designed to stimulate conversation, the appetite and the mind. FSEs bar menu features artisan-crafted cocktails, boutique wines and craft beers. The rustic-industrial space, designed collaboratively by Chef Mel and Ai3, will be one of Foundation Social Eaterys top draws. The design evolves and progresses as guests move through the restaurant, with each section presenting a different look and yet referencing unifying themes that occur throughout the restaurant. You can expect a thoughtful and well executed experience. Chef Mel Toledo has sharpened his knives and his palate in kitchens from California to France. For Toledo, experience trumps pedigree. Now he brings the sum of his experiences to Foundation Social Eatery, his first restaurant concept opening spring 2014. He creates a unique experience at FSE every time by drawing on his own foundation to build one just for his guests. Chef Mel is at the helm of his kitchen and has developed the front-of-the-house concept with his wife and co-owner Sandy. With all his accolades and more than a decade of experience in some of the most rarified kitchens in the world, Toledo aims to offer something a little more down-to-earth at FSE. Ive done fine dining most of my career, and Ive gotten a little bit tired of the pretense that goes along with it. So I want this place to be casual, social, loud, and where you can get a well-executed, inexpensive meal.
