All Day menu available 11:30am-9pm; Brunch menu also available 10:30am-3pm Saturday & Sunday; additional Late Night menu available 9pm-10pm Friday & Saturday El Gallo is a casual restaurant with a serious approach to Mexican cooking, highlighting locally sourced ingredients. Jacob Sessoms & Luis Martinez started this project together as a pop up restaurant, named for Jacobs fathers nickname, The Rooster. With a desire to connect Asheville with authentic regional Mexican cooking, the two found themselves wanting to move the successful pop up to a true brick and mortar location. When the team decided to update Table after 15 years at 48 College Street, El Gallo found its home there. At El Gallo, food, dining, drinking and music are all meant to be celebrated in our vibrant atmosphere.
