Eggspectation, which operates twenty locations, including five in the Washington-Baltimore region, is expected to open in late February or early March. Recognized for its offering of nearly 60 different breakfast entrées, the restaurant also serves lunch and dinnerwith a diverse menu that emphasizes its breakfast items. Selections range from lobster eggs benedict to veggie omelet to strawberry pancakes and brioche French toast and also include a line of Breakfast Bites including grilled breakfast burritos. The first phase of the residential component of Metro Centre consists of two five-story buildings, containing 56,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and 240 market-rate apartment homes on the upper four floors. Various options of floorplans range from 700 square foot one-bedroom units to 1245 square foot two-bedroom units. The latest retailer to open in the Transit-Oriented project includes The Honey House which markets a diverse array of products including honey harvested from farms on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, face and body products such as body scrubs, spa candles, honey body butter, lip balm and hand-crafted artisanal soap. The store also sells beeswax candles and honey lollipops. Groundbreaking is expected soon on a new 225-room boutique hotel, positioned at the intersection of Painters Mill Road and Grand Central Avenue at the entrance of the TOD with large event and conference room space including catering.
