Davenport is open for dinner service every Wednesday through Saturday from 5-9pm. Our menu is driven by relationships with local farmers and ranchers, featuring their latest and freshest. Kevin Gibsons cuisine is a combination of nostalgic favorites, Basque-regionstandards, and excellent seafood, all delivered with Davenports characteristic casual yet attentive service. You cant think of Davenport without our James Beard-nominated wine program. Our list features both local and international wines with a focus on grower-motivated labels. We also offer sherry, amari, and other spirits served simply as highballs or on the rocks. Davenport opened its doors in november of 2013. the idea was simple: the food would be incredibly fresh and simply prepared, with an excellent wine list to accompany it. The original owners, kurt heilemann and kevin gibson, named the restaurant for the midway point between their hometowns of chicago and Iowa City.
