Established in 2004. Family style Japanese restaurant in Englewood NJ. Voted Best in town 2012 & 2013. In 2004 Daruma restaurant was established in downtown Englewood New Jersey. We have been in the neighborhood for more then 10 years. Today, Daruma is still a place where family and friends gather to create memories. And we continue to work hard every day to make those memories even better with warmer welcomes, and friendlier service. Secondly, we truly believe less is more. We spend a lot of time carefully thinking through each dish. Our plating at Daruma is simple, yet artful. We get a good chuckle when we see other restaurants garnish their sashimi plates with blueberries, strawberries, gummy bears, etc… simply because it looks pretty, but makes absolutely no sense food wise. Our dishes are tasteful, fresh, and flavorful. We do not endeavor to have multiple locations. A neighborhood restaurant is all about having the Owners always being here to greet, & welcome you back.
