Established in 2001. Locally Sourced Ingredients – On any given day youre likely to see the Moceri Produce, Eben Haezer Poultry Ranch, Kombucha on Tap, bcb Cafe, Sadie Rose Baking Co. or Cafe Moto delivery trucks making their deliveries to Cafe 160. We source as many local ingredients as possible – down to our craft jam made the old-fashioned way by Jackies Jams, organic hot sauces by OBothers and gluten-free cookies and brownies by The Gluten Free Baking Co. Fresh & Healthy Meals – Whenever possible we aim to source our ingredients from organic producers. We use organic chicken and organic brown rice in our bowls and burritos as well as organic spinach and organic hydroponic butter lettuce in our salads and sandwiches. We have organic oatmeal available for breakfast along with organic peanut butter, organic acai and organic vegan protein powders for our smoothies. Several of our drip coffee selections are organic, including our French Dark Roast and Guatemalan Medium Roast, and our matcha tea is organic as well. Allergen Friendly – We take food allergies very seriously! We serve gluten-free bread at no additional up-charge, vegan pesto, organic low-carb coconut wraps, gluten-free cookies & brownies and so much more. All of our bread selections from Sadie Rose Baking Co. are vegan and we have several dairy-free milk options available, including almond, hemp and oat milk. What Does Our Name Mean? Food is considered local when it is sourced within a 160 km radius, hence our name: Café 160. We choose to source ingredients from more than 20 unique and amazing local vendors, looking to our own San Diego community first for the highest quality food. Supporting local vendors means fresher, better tasting food, a positive contribution to the community and a commitment to caring for the environment, all of which we here at Café 160 are extremely passionate about!
