Detailed Information

The images on our menu, some of which date back to the early 1900s, were selected to capture the spirit of the Golden Age of rail and to salute the rail workers who helped make Butler an important link in the nations rail system. In 1980 The Butler Inn was struck with a severe fire that damaged the building to a total loss. The Butler Inn was rebuilt on the same footage with a new look resembling an English pub with high ceilings, shiny brass and stained glass that was beautifully designed by the Marks family. The Marks family owned the Butler Inn until 1988 and then purchased by David Tomter. Tomter did extensive interior remodeling, built an outside masonry beer garden and prepared new food and drink menus. The Butler Inn has been a very popular meeting place for years that has a diverse menu consisting of wonderful appetizers, homemade soups, burgers, sandwiches along with homemade Italian pizza from a recipe handed down from yesteryears. The menu also includes Fish Frys, Seafood, Angus steaks along with our famous Cajun Turtle soup served on Fridays. Our house specialty is Barbeque Ribs that are second to none. Butler Inn has a cheers atmosphere with great people that I have had the time of my life with. David Tomter
