As a small, mainly take-out restaurant, Burger Inn was established in 1987. It was subsequently purchased in 1988 by the present owners (Kius Pahlavan Ph.D. in Geology and Sharo Soltani Ph.D. in Agriculture). Over the past 15 years, Burger Inn has grown to its present three location restaurant chain in Calgary, Alberta. All owned and operated by the parent company. Right from the onset, the business philosophy of the new owners has been to serve the best in terms of food quality, in a comfortable, attractive and casual setting, and to be price competitive. Strict adherence to these principles is reflected in Burger Inns position in the Calgary restaurant scene. Today, Burger Inn is judged by Calgarys real food critics and burger connoisseurs as the best. As our motto Unlike the Others suggests, Burger Inn is a unique concept – a mix of traditional fast food and casual dining. In terms of pricing and speed of operation, Burger Inn is extremely competitive with leading fast food chains. All this without being into drive-thrus, pre-cooking, reprocessing, using heat lamps for food maintenance, or being into co-branding with gas stations or convenience stores. In terms of quality, variety, and cooking expertise, Burger Inn is ahead of the best in casual dining restaurants. To sum it all up: Burger Inn serves the Best at fast food prices. Burger Inn is currently planning, in addition to opening corporate stores, to expand on a partnership level as well.
