Ismael Alba couldnt find a restaurant in New York that he felt captured the true experience and authentic cuisine of his native Argentina, so he decided to open his own restaurant featuring the grilled meats that Argentina made famous. Born into a family of restaurateurs, Alba combines his passion for Argentine cuisine with his strong business acumen. With the restaurant Buenos Aires, he brings a piece of his native city to New York. His goal is to offer quality food at reasonable prices in a charming warm and homey atmosphere. The dining room is warmly lit and inviting, with exposed brick walls, dark wood chairs and tables and dark wood framed mirrors. Argentina is evoked with black and white photographs of traditional scenes of the city of Buenos Aires; a cowhide seating area in the back of the dining room; and a display of Argentine wines behind the bar.
