We are thrilled to rely on the expertise of Kevin and Stacie Herrell to bring you the proven quality of Vantage Coffee, which has been enjoyed by customers of Higher Ground Coffee Co. in Martin and Union City, Tennessee, for many years. Were also honored to bring you another West Tennessee favorite the gelato that Drs. Carey Frix and Nicole Jennings introduced through this beautiful downtown location in 2006. Bessos is owned by three couples, who have walked this coffee shop journey since 2017 with prayer, excitement, prayer, fear, obstacles, prayer, patience . . . and prayer. Tim and Wendi West are owner/operators who have both called Henderson home at different times, as the child of a Freed-Hardeman student or as students themselves. They moved to Henderson after a couple of decades of work and raising a family in Thompsons Station/Williamson County, Tennessee. A registered nurse, Wendi has worked at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital since 2018, following more than 20 years of service as a nurse in Kentucky and Georgia and for a couple of decades at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. Tim has served others in a variety of capacities from preacher to financial advisor to restaurant manager. His role leading Bessos draws experience from his diverse background, and Wendis talents enhance the leadership team. They have three children, Cameron, Kayla and Garrett. Cameron and Heather West are owners who live on the North Carolina/Georgia border, where Cameron is a financial advisor and Heather is a health and wellness coach and former teacher. They are expecting their first child, Braxton, in September 2020. Cameron and Heather met while they were students who came to FHU from Middle Tennessee and Alabama, and they are excited to invest in serving the community that was their college home.
