Established in 2004. Only the best BBQ ever! Sam Huff was a full time trial attorney of 35 years experience when he took over BBQ1 in East Cobb from a friend in 2004 just to have an excuse to get out of yard work at home. He had been competing in professional cooking competitions with his own team since 1999, Lost Mountain BBQ. Co. He transferred the same competition cooking techniques to the small take-out operation and it resulted in an exceptionally high level of quality of cue.Soon, the tiny spot expanded to full time,then a second restaurant, and recently, a 75 seat expansion to a full service restaurant at the original location. No longer practicing law, Sam now teaches BBQ cooking classes,( Pork U), runs the restaurant, and still travels around the country with his competition team. Sams BBQ1 was listed in Zagats 2010 issue of Best Restaurants in America.
