Every summer since I was born, my family has visited the sunny skies and crashing waves of Southern California. I now take my own kids there and though some things have changed, we still make sure to get a frozen banana and beach bar when we head to the pier. Warm sand under our feet, a salty breeze in the air, and that certain cold treat in our hands spans a lifetime of delicious and happy memories with the promise of so many more to come.
