Albas Restaurant, New York Times acclaimed Three Star Italian restaurant in Westchester County was born in Port Chester, NY in 1993 by Chef/Owner Ray Balidemaj. Celebrating 21 years of excellence, serving the Greenwich, CT and Westchester County areas, Ray is dedicated to Italian Cuisine, that is served fresh, simple and prepared with respect. Albas was named after the white truffle region of Italy, Alba. The dual combination of Rays cooking techniques, management style-unheard of in the Westchester area, bettered restaurants all around in the early 90s-with his brother Sammy Balidemajs energy and drive in the dining room, they propelled Albas to become the only Three Star Italian restaurant in the area in 1993. Considering that Albas was opened on a shoestring budget, with Ray and his family helping out in the restaurant as the only employees on opening night, the accolades achieved were an incredible accomplishment. Continuing its success story, in 2000 the restaurant was renovated to become more elegant and studious, and most recently another renovation in 2010 doubling the size of the restaurant which now seats 285 guests at once, consisting of 4 rooms that may be used for private events during any night of the week. Albas prides itself in being a family run business as Rays Wife, Sylvia two sons: Getoar and Granit and daughter: Brikena work there, along with his nephews Nick and Alban. This is evident in the feel of the restaurant as the service is very professional and attentive without being intrusive. Above all Albas is defined by the skill, talent and diversity of our team.
