Reserve 101

Established in 2008. Whiskey, Scotch, Cocktails, Beer. Reserve 101 is home to 330+ whiskeys from 9 different countries. When Reserve 101 opened at the corner of Caroline and Dallas in January 2008, co-owners Mike Raymond and Steve Long were taking a chance on downtown Houston. It was an intersection surrounded by construction and parking lots — today, Reserve 101 is located directly across the street from House of Blues and an emerging collection of businesses including Greenstreet Pavillions. Reserve has become established as the best whiskey bar in Houston, attracting notable visitors including musicians The Killers, Arctic Monkeys and Shakira; Oscar winng actor Sean Penn; basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkley and NBA superstar Kobe Bryant; UFC president Dana White; and Houston Texans star Andre Johnson. The bar has won numerous awards and is known for its unpretentious, no-frills atmosphere but also simply as a unique destination for scotch, monthly wine selections, exotic martinis and whiskey tastings.
