Located in Portland and Beaverton, Bigs Chicken is a new venture from four local chefs with a deep love for chicken. Bigs Chicken opened in April 2017. Chef Ben Bettinger, also the head chef at Laurelhurst Market, runs the kitchen. You may remember him as the winner of the Food Networks Chopped (season 22), but dont be fooled: Bigs is a restaurant for everyone. You wont find fancy foodie talk here-were all about great food and a welcoming atmosphere, creating a space where everyone can enjoy themselves. At Bigs Chicken, our specialty is Alabama-style chicken thats smoked, then slathered in a white barbecue sauce that we like to call white gold. We like to think the perfectly crisped chicken is best enjoyed alongside our house-made coleslaw and signature Jo-Jos-and we have a feeling youll agree.
