Beloved Cheesecakes

Jen graduated from Portland State University with a bachelors in Social Work in the summer of 2018. Since then the direction of my life has drastically changed, obviously. 🙂 Now, I will be opening up a cheesecake shop this coming spring (2019) called, Beloved Cheesecakes. Beloved Cheesecakes will exist to serve a beloved community because every person deserves to be loved.3 (2/2016): Im a single mom of 3 boys. I start PSU in fall 2016. Im working towards a bachelors in social work and then onto my masters. My plan is to get involved with the justice system eventually. 🙂 I had originally planned to host freezer meal cooking groups, but have not had the time. Starting back to school at this age is not easy (for me). Homework that takes a normal 20yr old student an hour to do, takes me 3 to 4 hours. Ugh! BUT, Im conquering college! =) Instead of freezer meals, I have found that I LOVE making cheesecakes. It is therapy for me. =) Plus, I can do homework while the cheesecake is baking. 😉 This Christmas I didnt have much to give material-wise but found I could give something from my heart which was cheesecakes. 3 It wasnt until this past Christmas when so many said I should make them and sell them. I was truly humbled and honored. Then I was asked by 3 different friends the week between Christmas and New Years if they could pay me to make them a cheesecake. WHAT!? I was shocked, even more humbled, and honored. So here I am. A full-time single mom. A full-time student. Whose working towards the goal of being financially independent some day. Between you and I, that day cant come fast enough! Its the last area of control my ex has and I cant WAIT to not need a penny from him! So until then, my perfect Heavenly Daddy provides a way for me to make some money for my boys and me while Im juggling motherhood, kids sports, college, etc. Thank You, Jesus! All Glory goes to Him.
