Detailed Information

Squires Media and its extensive network of associates have considerable experience of nurturing relationships with international and national organisations, governing bodies and commercial entities to deliver a range of sports industry publishing and communicationsprojects. Squires Media was founded by Rory Squires, a specialist in sports industry publishing and communications. Before establishing Squires Media, Rory held the title of PA Sport Services Managing Editor at the Press Association, the UKs national news agency. He served as Editor of The Sport Briefing, a premium sport business and administration news service, for more than two years. Prior to his time in charge of The Sport Briefing, Rory had editorial responsibility for the Sports Media, Football Insider, Sport Cities & Venues and Sports Betting Update online and print publications for three years. Rory was also the Editor of Sport Insider, the official internal bulletin and magazine for the General Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF), from 2005 until 2008. Additionally, he worked as the official conference summariser of the SportAccord International Convention in Athens (2008), Denver (2009), Dubai (2010) and London (2011). Rory has chaired public panel sessions at a number of industry events – including the Soccerex European Convention, Sport & Technology and the International Sports Event Management Conference – and has contributed towards a number of studies into the sports industry, including the Chief Marketing Officers Councils research paper on sports marketing in September 2010. Additionally, he has produced White Papers on The Economics of the 2014 Fifa World Cup and Tennis in the Digital Age for Soccerex and Eurosport, respectively. Before specialising in sport business and administration news, he worked on the Press Associations international sports desk and was a freelance writer for a number of national newspapers in the UK.
