We proudly serve New Orleans French Truck coffee and homemade hand-pressed sandwiches. A.K.A. Put on Your Positive Pants! We (Darryl & Ellen) started Luca Eats as a celebration of food, family, friends, neighbors, and most of all, life. When we first opened our doors in 2016, Ellen had made a full recovery from cancer. Prior to her initial diagnosis four years earlier, we had spent over 30 years operating full-service restaurants. After the diagnosis, we stopped working to completely focus on Ellens treatment. When Ellen completed chemotherapy and an eventual full recovery, we knew that going back to work meant that this time, we needed to make it personal and appreciative of every moment – hence our motto, Put On Your Positive Pants! We wanted to start a restaurant that would allow us to be close to the food, the people, and the neighborhood we serve, because thats what really matters. Everything we do reflects this – our small menu sticks to the food that were best at making and that our customers will love. Were proud to serve our neighborhood and the greater New Orleans area. Our staff is friendly and customer-focused, and make every effort to exceed your expectations. We happily support and serve our community by sponsoring pet adoption events and always being pet-friendly.
