Sonic Drive-In®, or Top Hat Diner as it was known at the time, was founded in 1953 in Shawnee, Oklahoma by Troy Smith. Sonic Drive-In has stayed trueto its roots by keeping the 50s era drive-in diner feel with rollerskating Carhops, lively music, made-to-order food, and hand-mixed Real Ice Cream Shakes! The Sonic Drive-In® vision is to become Americas most loved restaurant brand. We feel that this is a pretty easy task to accomplish by serving up fresh, hot All-American favorites all day long like Chili-Cheese Coneys, Handmade Onion Rings, and a wide variety of Real Ice Cream Desserts in a fun environment!
