We bring the kitchen to you in a fully integrated open-kitchen concept designed to welcome everyone to the table to gather. Cherokee Valley Golf Course and Club owner, Matt Jennings dreamed of Core 450 before he and his uncle even bought the course. Matt, a seasoned entrepreneur, and golf course management professional, had seen the value a premier dining venue added to the family club experience from his days in Ohio. He knew it would work because he oversaw a similar development. Matt had a passion for a place where families, couples, individuals, business people, and golfers could converge and experience a real sense of community. Not long after purchasing Cherokee Valley Course and Club, Matt brought Executive Chef, Todd Warden on board to develop an innovative, full-service gathering place like no other in the Upstate. Architecturally, the restaurant will evoke memories of a classic mountain retreat, featuring large windows, finely appointed accents, and casual comfort. Chef Todd studied under James Beard award-winning chef, Bob Kinkead. He has cooked for Julia Childs, Thomas Keller, Hollywood Stars, and former Presidents. He believes that food is a celebration and he loves for people to gather in the kitchen like they are at a friends party. And that became the starting point for a restaurant like no other in the Upstate, an open kitchen that not only invites but welcomes patrons to gather around the kitchen as much as they desire. Imagine dining alone, with a friend/business contact, your spouse, or family and being in the kitchen! Core 450 is intimate, communal, fun-filled dining at its best. Ambience is built into the design and layout at every turn inviting conversations between friends and family.
