Brian and Mollie Rubenzer purchased the restaurant from Jim and Rick Casper in 2017. The Casper family has owned the restaurant since 1970. We have hosted weddings, anniversary, baby showers, birthday party, graduations, work meetings, seminars and the list goes on. Brian and Mollie also own BRIE cater and have been catering since 2005. Brian has successfully catered over 2000 events over the last 15 year and has brought has experience to Cherokee Tavern. In 2018 we build a catering operation in the lower level and BRIE cater moved in! Having the two business under the same roof has so many benefits. Brian oversees all food production to ensure its up to your expectations. Cherokee Tavern is for hand cut steaks and signature items like the Voodoo Shrimp, Pork Belly Sliders and Prime Rib to name a few. We understand the importance of having a neighborhood tavern and continue to bring entertainment and exciting events. We appreciate our regulars like Cindy, Bob and Sean, who patronize our establishment several times a week. West Saint Paul is growing and new young familys are moving in. Its important for us to keep up with the trends and have nothing but the freshest cuts of meat and produce. Our Executive Chef / Owner Brian Rubenzer prepares all the soups, sauces, marinades and cuts all the steaks to ensure a great consistent product that you can count on everytime you pay a visit.
