DeGidios Restaurant & Bar was founded by Joe Kid Bullets DeGidio and his nephew Camille , a successful bootlegger during the late 1920s and early 1930s. At one point, he operated 12 stills in the St. Paul area. When prohibition ended in 1933, Kid Bullets parlayed his bootlegging profits and opened DeGidios Restaurant and Bar at this same location. DeGidios was a favorite watering hole for many of the most notorious mob figures during St. Pauls famous gangster era. Of course, all mob ties were severed many decades ago! Today, DeGidios remains owned and operated by Kid Bullets son and grandchildren at this same location.
